Jakie Cheese-Cakie: Obit 2/1/2004.

The first of February 2004 came and took away our dear Jakie. He was
our precious gentle giant, a long haired yellow tabby cat with softly
muted meow. Famous for flop-over belly rub requests and paw pats on
the way to the food bowls, he was always first in line as he ran ahead of
the others. And cars, oh he loved to sit on cars, especially Mercedes,
much to our neighbors chagrin. But he also faithfully waited in the front
yard for our return from trips to the grocery and weekend nights out.
Beautiful Jackie had an attitude though. Mr. fuzziness was known to get
his way or force his way, especially if it meant getting there first to us or
to the milk bowl. With our cat family of 7 now at 6, we cannot but wonder
how our outdoor best friends will fare the rest of the new year. Jakoby's
litter mate of 5 years, Tiger, relunctantly must now give up his wandering
ways to Kitty City and assume Jakie's throned seat as chief homeboy
among the patio chairs, and take his rightful place as the stately leader
of the Steve Lacy Family cat pack.
